Menorca

Menorcan gates are the gateways to this unique paradise. They can be found all along the Cami de Cavalls, on the paths, at the entrances to houses… They are made from ‘ullastre’ wood, a wild olive tree that is very common in Menorca. The ‘Arader’ is the name given to the artisan carpenter responsible for crafting these works of art known as Menorcan barriers. The barriers are a little piece of rural Menorca, of the most authentic kind.
