Fiestas Menorca
The Estel jewellery collection was created in collaboration with Fiestas Menorca; together, we brought it to life to capture the very essence of one of Menorca’s age-old traditions: its festivals.
It is inspired by the decorations worn on the foreheads of horses during village festivals in Menorca, the star, just like Fiestas Menorca. These ornaments are usually star-shaped; they are covered in black velvet and embellished with various stones and coloured ribbons, and feature a mirror in the centre. Tradition has it that, when the horse is at rest, one stops to look at its reflection in the mirror of the star, as it is said to bring good luck.
